MADA, UTRS and SPG participate in 63rd International Astronautical Congress

Montana Aerospace Development Association (MADA) Board Chairman and Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) Vice President of Aerospace and Energy Operations, Dave Micheletti, and Space Propulsion Group, Inc. (SPG) President, Dr. Arif Karabeyoglu, presented a technical paper titled “Paraffin-Based Hybrid Rocket Testing at the Butte AeroTec Facility” at the “63rd International Astronautical Congress (IAC),” which was held on 1-5 October 2012 in Naples, Italy.  The MADA/UTRS/SPG paper was presented as part of the 63rd IAC’s “Propulsion II Technical Session,” which included twenty-three papers presented by authors from several different countries.  The paper has also been published as part of the “63rd IAC Proceedings.”63rd International Astronautical Congress

IACs are held every year in a different country, and they are organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF).  Over 2,000 participants from sixty different countries attended the Naples Congress.  The IAF is the world’s largest international aerospace technology professional organization, with its Headquarters located in Paris, France.

Micheletti also served as a Co-Chairman of the entire Propulsion Symposium, which included the presentation of over 118 technical papers, and he Chaired a Technical Session titled  “Missions Enabled by New Propulsion Technology and Systems,”which included the presentation of 13 technical papers.

The MADA/UTRS/SPG presentation was extremely well received, and several Congress participants have since contacted both Micheletti and Karabeyoglu regarding potential collaboration opportunities.
